[FIXED] Both versions report Windows 64 bit

Hi Daniel, I think both Windows version report themselves as 64 bit when you do Help About. Not a big deal, but I am trying to set up a USB stick that will open the correct version after checking for which operating system is on the computer, and even on a 32 bit system, the program reports it's the...

Re: point cloud appears as or turns into a thin line

I encountered the same issue. I imported a LAS file, and saved as a PLY in ASCII format. The x coordinates were rounded to the nearest meter (barely acceptable), but the y coordinates were rounded to the nearest 10 m using scientific notation (totally not acceptable). I see three solutions: 1. Recen...

Re: qRansacSD

Quick follow on question: When saving the RANSAC shapes, is there a way to transform the coordinates back to real world geometry, since it does not look like the re-centering options are being applied? If not, I can deal with the issue, but I would vote for adding it to your list of potential enhanc...

Re: qRansacSD

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the speedy reply. I had loaded 5 LAS files, so none was selected. Now it's working.

qRansacSD

Hi, I am trying to get the qRansacSD plugin. The DLL appears in the list of found plugins, and the DLL is present, but the plugin is disabled. Do I understand correctly that I have to recompile the source code for the plugin to be enabled? (C++ is not my native language, and I will have to track dow...

Re: Histograms for cloud comparison

Hi Daniel, Thanks for the quick reply. The export of the data works great. My files are too big for Excel, but I can import it into my GIS software, which in my view is better anyway. The next time you're working with the code, I would like to put it a vote for the first line in the export file to h...

[50%] Histograms for cloud comparison

Hi, An intern and I have been playing with Cloud Compare, and have been very impressed. We are looking to assess a lossy compression method for clouds. We have two independent clouds from OpenTopography.org (leaf on and leaf off for a region in Pennsylvania, and snow covered and snow free for a regi...
