Point cloud alignment

Post by Moon light »

Hello everyone,
I have a TLS and mls scans and I’m trying to make a georefrencing
For each scan using total station control point
When i finished georefrencing process the x,y coordinates are converted to the new system but the problem is with z coordinate it seems like it’s still in the local coordinate system
So what i have to do ?
Please let me know if you have any idea.

Which version are you using?

And by the way, if you georeference a cloud, normally only the Global Shift should be impacted, and you have to export the cloud so that the points are actually saved / transformed to the absolute coordinate system. The aligned cloud will stay in a local coordinate system in CloudCompare.
