Re: Saving Error
Hey, I had this exact issue with v 2.11 as well! I went back to using 2.10.2 for now. If I remember correctly, it was a CC instance I had open for a long time (probably days). Nothing I tried would let me save anything, so I just had to close it.

Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)
Hi Simon, I have a few comments. First I'm also doing research on classifying mountain terrain point clouds so it might be useful for us to get in touch. (send me a note on ResearchGate https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Luke_Weidner) For your first question: in principle CANUPO should work on pho...

Why are geometric features calculated individually?
Hi, for the geometric feature calculation tool, it appears to calculate each feature separately if several are selected. I'm wondering why this is, especially for the eigenvalue features, because they are all just based on L1 L2 and L3, so you could easily calculate all of those features at once jus...

Re: RMR in CloudCompare
It's not something that's built in, but you can estimate some RMR parameters using the compass plugin, for example, to find out how many discontinuity sets you have, and maybe get an idea of the joint spacing. But there are some automated tools besides CC out there being developed that will perform ...

Re: Canupo - validate Classification (no reference data?)
Hi, Glad to hear that. For the most details I can direct you to my research gate at the end of this post. You can find my papers there. But I can give a quick summary too so you don't have to read all the boring stuff. The main applications I'm working on are rockfall hazard and runout mapping/monit...

Re: Canupo - validate Classification (no reference data?)
Hi all, I've been using CC to do point cloud classification for the past year and a half. I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you talk about "reference data," but I'm guessing you mean obtaining an independent set of points (not used for training) to evaluation the accuracy of the clas...
