Re: Stockpile Volume

I see, that's because i can sample any arbitrary amount of points i want in a given mesh right? I will try what we've discussed here with a new experimental dataset. Now i have a doubt, and i know i'm getting ahead of myself here, but if i had these stockpiles in a warehouse (image as example) where...

Re: Stockpile Volume

Ok so i'd just tried the "scale correctly" thing right away with another similar model i had and i reach this. resultado positivo-stockpile1.png The calculated value was 970 cm3 and the real value was 951 cm3. That means a deviation of roughly 2%. WICH IS AWESOME !!!! Now i'm thinking abou...

Re: Stockpile Volume

Daniel after i asked you i've adjust the scale of the dataset and create the plane from the point picking list. The result it's way better, i'm still 10,9% away from the real volumen but getting closer. To do this in the most accurrate way what do you recommend me apart from the "box reference&...

Stockpile Volume

Hi everybody. I'm new to this world of point clouds! I'm having a big trouble to achieve a volume calculation with the "volume 2.5D" of my stockpile. I am trying to validate cloudcompare with a homemade experiment for later use in an industrial enviroment. First of all i've had searched th...
