This was helpful. I was not able to get the file to open with color in windows 3d viewer. However, I was able to import it into Rhino with color. I did this by converting to RGB then saving only the converted vertices as a ply binary file. Thank you.

Export Mesh with Scalar Field Colors
Hello, I compared two similar mesh files in cloud compare and now I have a mesh file with a scalar field showing the distance differences between the two in color. I would like to export this mesh with the scalar field as a ply or fbx. How do I do this? Every time I save this file and open it in Win...
