Not with the C2M tool... M3C2 has a concept of 'direction' and max distance to the origin point, but you would have to sample points on the mesh first to use it. And the number of parameters is quite higher...

Did you use a 'zoom' factor maybe? And was the projection mode 'orthographic' or 'projective'?

Sorry, I'm confused: what do you mean by subtracting? Due to how M3C2 works, the 'pinnacle' points are necessarily coming from the original cloud (and from the same cloud as the other points). Isn't it simply noise?

Ah, that's definitely an interesting feature but it's also tricky to implement ... I'll add this to the TODO list, but I wouldn't be too optimistic ;)

It is possible that the server is a bit overloaded from time to time (the wiki seems to require quite some resources).

The easiest way is probably to use the 'Rasterize' tool and keep the 'minimum' height inside each cell (and keep the 'Resample input cloud' option checked so that your points are not modified).

Hum, that's very strange. 2 things you can check: - is the 'custom light' enabled? (you can toggle it with F7) - has the default light/material been modified? (in the 'Display > Display settings' - you can reset everything t its default) In any case, it shouldn't cause this change in color, but that...
