Stereo Mode - Generic Stereo Display

I am having trouble opening the Generic Stereo Display in Stero Mode. Once clicked it goes to full screen then a message box opens saying "Open GL Stereo Mode Not Supported/Enabled".

Does anybody else get this message?

Many thanks in advance for any help in diagnosing this.

Far Clipping Plane Adjustment

Hi Daniel, Would it be possible to add a function to be able to adjust the far clipping plane as well as the near clipping plane? If this was possible it would allow me to make a slice view which would allow me to edit the data with much greater efficiency. I could then edit a "slice" and ...

Re: Gamepad support

Amazing, very speedy implementation!

Has the gamepad support been implemented in the 2.8BETA Stereo version?

I will now make a donation as promised.

Re: XBOX Controller Navigation

Steve, Thanks for the recommendation. If you work with 3D data you just have to see it in 3D. I was astounded by it. It isn't just a gimmick. I think you need a hefty graphics card to run smoothly. I am running a GTX1080 and it is just seamless for data sets up to 50 million points. Let me know how ...

Re: XBOX Controller Navigation

I have heard a lot of people recommend them. I am a right handed mouse user. You recommend to use the 3D mouse with my left hand!! Even steeper learning curve!

I think I will buy one from Ebay and give it a try.

Thanks for the advice.

Re: XBOX Controller Navigation

I will gladly make a donation!

I haven't tried the 3D mouse yet. I am watching one on Ebay though.

I did have a small test of one a while back in some other software and there certainly seemed to be steep learning curve!

Re: XBOX Controller Navigation

PS. The XBOX controller through the emulator worked best with rotation locked around vertical axis and viewer based perspective.

Re: XBOX Controller Navigation

Daniel, The Oculus software seems to constantly complain that the DK2 is no longer supported but it still works fine with everything I have tested it with. I bought the DK2 as a bit of a gimmick but I am finding it really useful for work, especially things like viewing mis-aligns between point cloud...

XBOX Controller Navigation

Daniel, I recently purchased an Oculus Rift DK2. It works amazingly well with CloudCompare. You really are a genius! I have been using Gopher360 (an XBOX controller mouse emulator) to navigate the 3D scene but this has limitations. As soon as the mouse pointer reaches the edge of the screen the rota...

Re: GPS Real Time Navigation in the Point Cloud

Daniel, Thanks for this info. A colleague of mine had a play around with this and he managed to add a virtual ROV to the scene and animate in the point cloud. It was a step further towards what we are looking for. Unfortunately we ran out of time but I may contact you in the future to develop this f...
