Ok, I got it installed and running using your method, but I can't open any FARO files:

Re: Entry Point Not Found Error
Same problem here. Same with 2.11.alpha as well. I noticed CC installed FARO LS 1.1.701.1 But the most recent version installed (probably by FARO Scene) is FARO LS 1.1.704.2 2.10 and 2.11.alpha WERE working. I'm not sure when they stopped. Maybe when I installed the newest FARO Scene update? Not sur...

Re: Anyone gotten good normals with FARO Freestyle?
Actually you can easily get great meshes out of CC with FARO Focus scanners. Import the LSPROJ directly into CC. And when calculating normals use "use sensors whenever possible". But I don't think FARO is keeping correct normals when it processes freestyle scans. It SHOULD, because the Man...

Anyone gotten good normals with FARO Freestyle?
Anyone have a good workflow for getting good meshes from Freestyle data?
I haven't found a file format to get freestyle normals out of FARO Scene software.
Thanks

Re: Mesh or normal compute FLS files
Hi Daniel, The new mesh scan grids tool on an FLS file is a cool quick way to mesh. However, most projects consist of more than one scan, so you'd have a lot of overlapping and disconnecting meshes. And looks like the color disappears. It would still be very useful to have a normal computation metho...

Bring back compute normals on import
As formats such as PTX and FLS/FARO have the data built in to compute the correct normals, it'd be great if this feature was added (or re-added). Back in v2.5 of CC you could compute normals on import. Calculating normals never works that great for me, and since the data is already in certain file f...

Re: Keeping Grid info (e57)
Hi,
Old topic. Wondering if CC is able to output structured data in the newest release, or if there are any future plans for it?
Thanks

Re: Automatic normals computation in CC 2.6.2 beta
Hi Daniel, Thanks so much for implementing these features! Sorry for being dense, but I'm unclear on the correct steps to compute normals for a FARO file. Which 'surface approximation' setting is best? for 'neighbors' you say use ocotree, Auto? Not scan grids? for 'orientation' use scan grids. Thanks

Re: Mesh or normal compute FLS files
Thank you.
I meant, is there currently a way to compute normals of FARO scan files, which take into account scanner head location?
