Get Scalar Field from Command line M3C2

Post by aringenbach »

I am using the following command line:
CloudCompare -AUTO_SAVE ON -o -GLOBAL_SHIFT AUTO X:\...\..1ply -o -GLOBAL_SHIFT AUTO X:\...\..2ply -M3C2 X:\...\CloudCompare\Parameters\m3c2_params_zDir_v3.txt -SAVE_CLOUDS

The whole set up works so far, but I don't get the Scalar Field of the M3C2 distance, which I get with the very same parameter file in the GUI. I tried as well without the AUTO SAVE option. Can anyone give me a hint about what I am missing? My Next step would be a filter (-FILTER_SF 0.3 MAX), where I get all the differences larger than 30 cm. But therefore I need to get the scalar field.

Thanks for your help

Interesting... I should try on my side (it may be a "bug").

Can you maybe send me the dataset (or a small sample) with the parameters file and the exact command line you used? (well it's probably the one you provided above?). You can send that to "admin [at] cloudcompare.org".

So I confirm it was a bug (when subsampling the input clouds to generate core points, the subsampled cloud was not always exported and saved by the command line mode).

Thanks for the feedback.
