Importing fls point cloud with colour straight out of FARO ls

Hi,

I'm trying to import fls files straight out of the Faro laser scanner (x focus 3d). The scan is done with the RGB included settings switched on on the sensor itself. In terms of importing the points itself, theres no problem. However, choosing any options in the 'Colors' dialog:

would only give the intensity in terms of RGB values (greayscale values that represents the intensity) rather than the true RGB values or a scalar intensity value.

I've also found this thread: https://danielgm.net/cc/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2673 where the user was trying to import colour and intensity. However, there is no indications whether he managed to import in the colours and even if he managed to, is it processed or is it straight out from the sensor itself.

If cloudcompare cant do it, Does any body knows how or what free software we can use to extract the point cloud along with the rbg values and scalar intensity. I tried using Scene lt, it only allows to export point clouds with the intensity.

No I think it's definitely the issue where the color comes from associated pictures, and FARO never answered our questions about how to import this kind of per-point RGB colors....
