CloudCompare has 'cloud' in it, in case you missed it ;). This tool is for (dense) point clouds. As most of the tools in CC...

CC volume2.5D tool is buggy, misleading and not flexible what ever the case , dense cloud or light.
A clear warning must be shown in result box
and volume2.5D tool has to be overhauled in future release.

I know it is an old thread but it is my 1st post here.
You can generate normals then convert it into dip/degrees so it is easy to extract the bottom formline for the stoke. So u can calculate yoyr volume.
If you want to make all stoke piles you need to split the bottom ground so you can label segmented clouds and u can calculate the volume.
