Hey Guys. I have connected 2 points as a segment using the point-picking toolbox. The total span is 2.7 metres over a depression in the ground. But I want to split that 2.7 metre vector into small segments so that I can place additional measurement points beneath it in the depression. Can I split an existing vector at a chosen increment? Or is there a ruler that tracks distance as you drag a cursor along a vector?
Thanks

Re: Measuring increments along a vector
Nope.
The "Trace Polyline" tool can "over sample" the polyline you draw between two points. But it might 'snap' to the cloud, and also you won't be able to read the length of each sub-segment...

Placing Points/Polylines from ArcMap
Hey Daniel thanks for this.
I re-thought this and I would like to import some point feature classes from ArcMap into CC. I will then use those imported points as a template for placing points in CC using the 'point list picking tool'.
Question: What is the best file format for CC to display a layer from ArcMap?
Thanks for this amazing software!

Not sure as I'm not an ArcMap user but you should try .shp or .dxf if it's vectors?
