Automatic identifiying of Faro References

Hello to all,
I'm triying to obtain the displacements of a wall which is being pushed by a lateral force using LIDAR scanning. Is there any way to place some kind of reference (I'm thinking similar as the FARO ones) in the wall that later on Cloud compare could auto - identify and give me te coordinates of it.

CloudCompare can only detect spheres (in the 'Align' tool).
