Extract single contour through CC command line

Post by husnain »

I want to extract a single contour from the point cloud using the CC command line. I have done it through GUI and that contour fulfills my requirements. Is it possible to get a single contour from the CC command line?

With which tool did you extract the contour? The 'Cross section' tool, or the 'Section extraction' one?

Thanks for your response. I have extracted the contour using the 'Cross Section' tool. I want the same single contour from the CC command line.

I guess you have to follow the documentation of the -CROSS_SECTION option (https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... _line_mode). And in the xml parameters file, just remove the <RepeatDim><RepeatDim/> and <RepeatGap></RepeatGap> blocks.

After removing <RepeatDim><RepeatDim/> and <RepeatGap></RepeatGap> blocks. CC gave an error of " Some mandatory elements are missing in the XML file "
