Select nan by "Filter scalar" or filterBySFValue

Post by cfs »

Hello,

I have computed a scalar field via "Tools .. Other .. Compute geometric features .. Planarity".
Now there are grayish points shown, which are nan in "Filter scalar".
Can those be selected somehow? Picking them as first or second point does not work for me ..

Thanks and cheers,
Chris

The points with NaN values are generally the ones that did not have enough neighbors to compute a value (depending on the radius you chose).

And I don't know you can select them easily!

The only way I see is to use 'Edit > Scalar fields > Filter by value' on the cloud, and keep the full/default range. It should actually only keep the values with valid values. Then you can compute the distance between the original cloud and this filtered cloud. And then use the 'Filter by value' cloud again, with the values greater than 0 (input something really small as the low boundary).
