cividis colormap

Post by louisgag »

Hello,

I'm new to CloudCompare and it is quite useful to me. So, I decided to create an xml file for the cividis colormap.
It's a sequential colormap of mathplotlib to flatten the perceptual delta perceived by people with color vision deficiency, and it prevents loss of information when printing in black and white.

I'm attaching it here (the RGB values cannot take decimal values, so it's almost 100% accurate cividis).
The zip file can be extracted and then directly imported into CloudCompare.

Kind regards,

-Louis

Is it close to viridis? (which is already supported)

I'll try to add it to the default release of CloudCompare. Thanks for the contribution.

That's done (on github). It will be part of the next 2.13.alpha release.

It differs enough from viridis for me to prefer cividis, but the idea is behind it is quite similar.

Thanks for adding it to the release and thanks for this great software!

The 2.13.alpha version has been update and now integrates this 'Cividis' color map.
