We face similar issues in different environment. After tests, we identify that 2.10.2 works properly while other updated versions are not, despite of OS or CPU settings. Currently 2.10.2 is not distributed officially. Thus this is a bit problem for Mac users.

Have you tried the latest version (2.13.beta) for macOS compiled by Paul Rascle: https://www.simulation.openfields.fr/in ... -downloads
If it's still failing, I believe Paul will be interested as he is currently trying to fix most of the macOS issues we have.
