Compass Tool Won't Create Measurements

Hello,

I am trying to take measurements of an outcrop on a georeferenced model. I have exported the model from Metashape with texture and successfully imported the model into Cloudcompare. I have seen videos on how to use the compass plugin to take measurements of planes, but in the video when they click on the points, there is a measurement that populates the "measurements" tree. When I do it, it creates the measurement tree, but doesn't add any actual measurements to the tree... any ideas on why it won't record the measurements?

So I've not been able to reproduce your issue with version 2.13.

If I click a point cloud, then I can see a 'plane' object created, both in the 3D view and the DB tree.

If I click another entity, I dont' see anything created.

Can you maybe share a little bit more information? (screenshot, or even better a file - you can send it to admin@cloudcompare.org).
