Post by JohnSpring »

The user documentation link to the wiki on https://www.danielgm.net/cc/ to https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/ does not work.

I have this issue with Safari on macOS. I haven't tested with any other browser yet. With Safari I frequently get "Failed to open page" and a message saying:
Safari can’t open the page “https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... ation_Tool” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.
Sometimes it works, though, but most often not.

Edit: I now tested with Firefox on macOS, and it works without issues. I still think there is some strange issue with the Wiki, since I've never seen this happen before with any other site.

It is possible that the server is a bit overloaded from time to time (the wiki seems to require quite some resources).

I’m pretty confident it’s not because the server is overloaded. I can have Firefox and Safari opened side by side. Firefox always loads the page. It has not failed one single time. With Safari it fails 99% of the time.

Or if it’s because of overload, then it drops Safari browsers in favor of other browsers.
