Hi my name is Arturo Delgado
I am trying to detect marsh edge erosion in my study area using the M3C2 algorithm. So far I have determined that I should be using the Horizontal normals but I am not quite sure which orientation I should use. I have read some documentation but it is still unclear as to how to use these parameters to analyze my data.
I am wondering if I need to do any other type of preprocessing (i.e. estimating normals, vegetation removal) prior to running the M3C2 algorithm. I have cleaned up my data from the original files and have matched the points clouds to the best of my ability. I am just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to analyze my data.
I am attaching two screen shots of my data, I look forward to some feedback.
Thanks,
Arturo
