Extraction planes automatically

Is there any plan to extract planes automatically in near future. The idea is to get 3D model of walls and floors automatically for buildings.

In fact both the qRansacSD and qFacets plugins can be used for this. However the result might a little 'raw'.

I bet a method dedicated to buildings would be more efficient (but I didn't hear about any such plugin in preparation).

And another issue will be to export the planes to other software packages? I don't know if the DXF format will be sufficient.
