Contour in cross section

Hi,
I'm an archeologist and i'm using this program for 3D model recostruction of ancient structures and manufact.
I have some problem with the contour tool: when I open the Cross section frame, I can't use this comand becouse it's uselectable, it's off.
Can you help me please?

The Cross Section tool can only be applied on a single cloud at the time. And you have to select this cloud first.

If you have multiple clouds you can merge them.

By the way you might also be interested by the new 'Trace polyline' tool (http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... e_polyline). It works on both clouds and meshes (and any of them).
