Is there a way to colorize clouds with images?

Post by Elbruno »

Hello,

I would like to know if there is a way to use an Image to colorize a point cloud.

I have a georeferenced point cloud and image from the same place. I would like to put color on cloud.

Can you help me?

Thx a lot.

This is not possible with CC yet (this is in the TODO list already, but it's hard to tell when it will be ready).

I believe Meshlab do this quite well.

Did you manage to accomplish such task? I'm interested too.

I saw PDAL does but the Gdal implementation of Qgis implements the raster oriented tolos as has QGIS has no general support for clouds.
