I am running it on my laptop, with a Intel B940 processor, 8 Gb RAM and an integrated Intel HD graphic card (1696 Mb graphic memory available, 64 Mb dedicated to video, 1632 Mb shared with the system).
But the problem shouldn't be that, as it worked well before I tried to change the decimal point.

Are you sure the driver hasn't change at the same time?

Well, I'm not as expert as to be sure, but I would not expect it to have changed. At least I did nothing as to change it. The only thing I did was to connect a different new external monitor (different from the one I was using before), which forced me to reconfigured that second screen, but to my knowledge that process doesn't change the driver, does it? I am now back to the previous monitor with no issues in my way back.
Is there any particular aspect or problem with the driver I can check it for?

On the contrary you can force its update... This may not be the problem at all but 99% of crashes at startup are caused by GPUs and their drivers (and especially with Intel and ATI cards).

So, what can I do? Update the driver?
I don't know how to proceed now...

Well you can indeed try to update your video card driver. However this is just a pure guess.

By the way, does the 2.6.3 version works?

Hi, there.
Sorry for the delay in responding. I was too busy with other stuff.
Actually...it works with 2.6!! I was curious and so, I also tried 2.8. Did not open. So, 2.7 and 2.8 are not starting in my system, but 2.6 is working smoothly.
I guess I reinstalled it when trying to solve the .ply isuue...and didn't realize I was updating it. Sorry for that.
Thanks a lot!!
