Point cloud info in command line
Re: Point cloud info in command line
thanx for your reply sir...........sir please if you can tell how can i check the accuracy of my data i am very confused about it and not getting any proper answer. what is the tool or parameter through which i can check the accuracy?
Re: Point cloud info in command line
You can't check it like that. You need to compare your data to something (a reference plane or more evolved model - or in the worst case another scan for which you have a high confidence on its own accuracy/quality).

Re: Point cloud info in command line
sir i just generated a raster dem and measure the pixel size and just say that its the resolution then its fine? or i just use satellite data and georefrence it and take rms as standard?
Re: Point cloud info in command line
So instead of accuracy you were speaking about resoltion?
If you generate a raster, than the resolution is the number of "pixels" or equivalently the pixel size (the 'step' parameter).
And I don't get what you want to do with the satellite data?

Re: Point cloud info in command line
Even after giving the projection my data is showing wrong elevation so I was wondering wearther to georefrence it with a satellite image. And still I m not getting what to do for accuracy check.
Re: Point cloud info in command line
Could you describe your whole process as well as your data source?
If it's a raster (e.g. geotiff), beware that the height is sometimes converted to grey scale values (0..255) and his therefore not in real world units anymore. Otherwise, if it's only a matter of units conversion, you can use the 'Edit > Scale' method.

Re: Point cloud info in command line
I am having a faro Lidar single scan data of my campus. And I want to generate tin(vector model) and dem (raster model) and after that I want to check the accuracy.
