We agree that the default camera orientation and 3D view icons are not a unique design, as they appear in some CAD software programs. We also agree that "In a way it means that CloudCompare is a reference now". Many users are familiar with this intuitive interface and can quickly manipulate the software. As an example, we have been using cloudcompare for many years, and developed CSF plugin as a reward, which is also easy-to-use as cloudcompare.
