Export z-change values

Post by flavia.sistilli »

Hi Daniel and Dimitri,
I'm here again to ask your help!
I don't know if you remember my work on small areas of embryo coastal dunes…
I have finished the field work and also to compare the clouds with M3C2 plugin.
Now, I should quantify the z-change for each area and for each period.
It would be possible to export the histogram of the difference’s cloud ?
I would obtain the number of point for each scale value and thus the percentages values.

I hope I have explained well my issues.

Thanks
Flavia

I forgot ...
I have already tried to export .asc file of clouds but they are too big for Excel computations…
it would take an “ informations” already compressed, such as a histogram or I don’t know…

thanks

Does the histogram computed by CC suits you? ('Edit > Scalar fields > Show histogram'- you can change the number of bins with the mouse wheel by the way).

If yes, then with the latest beta version, you can export the histogram to a CSV file (see the small icon in the top-right corner).

Here is a link to the beta version:

Thanks Daniel,
This is exactly what I need!
Just a question, Is there a way to set custom bin range?
I saw that now they are automatic.

have a good day

Indeed the bins are always regularly spread over the [min distance ; max distance] range.

You can of course reduce this range by segmenting the cloud (with 'Edit > Scalar fields > Filter by value') and then compute the histogram on the resulting cloud (with the right range).
