Exporting Scalar fields

Post by patcarbon007 »

I'm new to CC and I'm using it to compare SfM and LiDAR. This is probably very simple, but I need to export the scalar fields produced from Cloud to Cloud and Cloud to Mesh calculations into Matlab. Ascii would be fine but the standars save function in CC just seems to save the original vertices. Surely the export of scalar fields is possible?

If you save a point cloud in ASCII format, all scalar fields should be saved (you should have on each line: "X Y Z SF1 SF2 etc."). I've just tested it to be sure with the last online version (07/18/2012)

Which version are you using? Are you sure you are selecting the right point cloud? (its 'properties' should contain a 'Scalar Field' section)

Yep, it was just a matter of selecting the right vertices!

Merci!
