Hi,

Thank you for the great project. I have one question. I understood that it is possible to work with Riegl-pointclouds? However, I cannot open rxp-files with the Mac-version. What should I do?

Best wishes,
Paulina

Indeed, the Riegl plugin is only working on Windows...

Thank you for the reply. Do you know if it is possible to get the plug in to Mac? I am new relatively in the field and do not understand so much about technology. My background is in human geography.

Do I understand correctly that the Riegl plugin is only able to read Riegl files, but not to write them? Or is there away to export to rdbx again after editing a pointcloud (also to just simply convert a las file to rdbx)?

I believe it is indeed read-only.

Hello,
so version 2.11 can open Riegl rdb, rsp, & rds file formats from riscan but I don't see anyway to open an rxp file straight from the scanner. Am I missing something? Is there an external plugin I have to install? I need to be able to open an rxp file. I am running windows.

There are normally 2 Riegl plugins... I wonder if one might be missing in the v2.11 distribution?

The only plugin that is obviously Riegl oriented QRIEGL_IO_PLUGIN.dll

I have a copy of 2.10, 2.9, and 2.6 and that is the only .dll file with riegl in the name.

Hum, maybe that's the issue then... I'll have to check that when I get back in front of my computer ;)
