Rasterize tool:calculate percentiles

When transforming a point cloud into raster, there is the option to use average,max and min values. Is there a way to calculate percentiles as well?

any thoughts on this feature for the rasterize tool?
it would be soooooo helpful
there is a similar algorithm called r.in.xyz in GRASS GIS..an analog to this for CC maybe?

There's on open PR that changes the rasterize tool. Maybe you can plead your cause to the author ;)
