Is it possible to select several point clouds using like a selection box?
I've a lot of tiles loaded but I would like to merge only a 4x4 grid of tiles at an specific position and picking one by one is a pain since it takes very long for each and its easy that selection itself fails, I wish at least there was option to select tiles instead of picking points hitting the bounding box, it would be much faster.

Have you tried the rectangle selection mode? Keep the alt key pressed while left clicking.
