Hi there,
I'm a beginner in cloudcomparing. So that'll be a beginner question.
I created sections and some of the polylines doesn't look that good.
I tried to clean the polyline by segmentation, but the the bases connect to the frist base of the polyline, not to the neighbour (where I want the connection to).
Is there a possibility to cut wrong basses out of the polyline by self connecting to the next base?
Thank you in advance!
Segment Polyline
Re: Segment Polyline
Hum, I think for now CC will just keep the original order or the vertices unchanged (and maybe it will even keep the status of whether the polyline is closed or not unchanged, not sure).
Can you maybe post an image / diagram to show what you expect exactly?

Re: Segment Polyline
Hi Daniel,
this is what I mean: this is how I would set a segment: this is what happens: (no direct connection, but a connection through the whole polyline)

Thanks for the captures! (And sorry for the delay)
Actually, segmenting a polyline like that should not even be possible!!! So that's definitely a 'bug' (to be able to do it) and the result is quite unexpected (I'm even surprised CC doesn't crash after that...).
Segmenting a polyline with the scissors tool would be neat. But that's currently not implemented. I'll add this to the TODO list.

Re: Segment Polyline
Oh it definitely crashes, if you delete the segment section rather than splitting
