Label with distance (or scalar field)

Hello,

Is there a way to put a label with the scalar field value of the selected point showing on it? I want to indicate the calculated distance in a numeric way on certain points.

Thanks

Yes, use the Point picking tool, it is on the tools menu drop down and the tool bar as a cross hair with a mouse cursor.

Once open it lets you click on a point, it will create a label on whichever point you click and have the scalar field visible at the top of the label along with its X,Y,Z coordinates.
Then press the save current label button on the Point picking tool floating dialog to create the label permanently.

And there's the secret shortcut: hold the SHIFT key and left click on a 3D point to spawn a label directly ;)

I swear I tried the point picking tool and the scalar didn't showed up... I must be blind :D
Still learned the secret shortcut so it was worth the question.
Thanks

The scalar value appears in the label title (if the scalar field is active).

Yes, it did appear, I meant before I made the post I was also trying that but didn't see it...my bad.
Are there ways to customize that label block, like hiding the RGB values or even the XYZ?

If you right click on the label, it will 'collapse' (hiding everything but the title).
