No more current information on the MLS PlugIn

Post by CRONOS »

Hello.

Actually, the MLS plugin is very "powerful".
Unfortunately, the link in the CloudCompare WIKI runs into a dead end. (404)
Is this plugin still maintained by anyone?

I have the problem that an RGB point cloud completely loses its colour after smoothing.
Surely this can be fixed in a roundabout way, or could it be programmed differently directly in the plug-in?

Ah, it seems the PCL website has been updated (which is a sign of life ;).

I've updated the links.

And to answer your question, this plugin is a simple bridge to the PCL library. As long as the library will be supporte, we'll keep the plugin alive.

Currently CC is relying on PCL 1.10. If necessary we could upgrade to version 1.12 (but I don't know if any thing has changed in the MLS algorithm? That's the only one we use).
