color scale "template" save out for other users

is it possible to save out a custom color scale "template" for other users to import and use. The idea would be to ensure that all users are using a common scale making cloud comparison reports generated by the several users predicatable and constant in color meaning/definition. the color scale we use has 9 colors so it is tedious to recreate on each work station and you have to be meticulous to define the range of each color correctly. a template would eliminate error potential.

Yes you can 'share' a color scale between different computers. You have to save it to a BIN file (associated to a cloud for instance) then loading this file on another computer. You just have to do this once (the color scale will be automatically added to the registry).

3D VIEWS SAVE OUT TEMPLATE FILE

We're using cloud compare to generate comparison reports of the same objects over and over again. we would like all of the reports to contain 3D VIEWS with the same orientations as the other reports. I see the predifined 3D View options and they work great. However, we would like to define custom 3D views and save these to be used in each report. I find that after creating the custom 3D Views and saving the file, these views are not saved out when I reopen the file. Is this to be expected? Also, when toggling between the custom 3d Views, the scaling each view was set up with is not preserved. not a huge deal but if you have any insights on how to create a template file with custom 3D views and respective scaling for each view, I would be grateful.
thank you for your help.

Indeed, the camera settings of 3D views are not saved (neither in BIN files, neither in the registry).
However you can save them with 'Display > Save viewport as object'. This will create a 'Viewport' object that can be saved along with other entities in BIN files (you must select all of them at once with CTRL key pushed). You can also save it alone of course.
When selecting the viewport object, you'll see in its properties a 'Apply' button. Just click on it to restore the viewport parameters.
